UKA DANCE COMPS
The great thing about UKA comps is that you don't need a partner to participate. You will dance with one of our instructors, in a age group and medal grade relevant to your standard. The age groups tend to change on each event so please speak with us to find out which age group you'll dance in and at what level. There are normally 4 seprate levels at a comp:
Intro, Bronze, Silver/Gold, Bars & Stars. The grade you dance at will be decided by your teacher. You will have to take part in our Exam day with UKA which we do once a year to take part in these competitions which you can read more about below. Tickets for Wythenshawe comps are £18pp and for Blackpool are £20pp. Private lessons are recommended to be fully prepared.

UKA MEDAL TESTS

In order to be eligible to dance in competitions you will need to have taken an UKA medal test that year: these are dance examinations organised at the school, where each of our dancers will dance various dances depending on their grade with one of their teachers in front of an UKA examiner. These are intended to be positive, confidence-building occasions with examiners looking to positively reward children of all abilities. The price of these depend on the grade you take on the day. Private lessons are recommended to be fully prepared.
